Welcome To Year 5

A message from Miss Jackson

Miss Jackson teaches Year 5 and our Teaching Assistant, Mrs Dejonge, also supports Year 5 in class.

Year 5 study lots of exciting and engaging topics, such as Myths and Legends, Anglo Saxons and Vikings and gymnastics, as well as participating in lots of sporting events and educational visits.

Year 5 also take part in a two-night residential stay at the Emmaus Youth Village in Allensford.  This experience is a vital opportunity to deepen our school’s Catholic ethos and live out Catholic Social Teaching, with play, prayer, and community-building at the heart of the residential.

Year 5 is a super year, which prepares children very well for their last year at St Matthew’s.
