Y3 had an exciting day in class yesterday meeting artists Lynda & Megan from the Cultural Spring partnership. Local artist Lynda Nelson has been commissioned to design and construct a large kinetic sculpture which will form part of the South Tyneside annual Carnival Parade in July. Our children have been given the opportunity to be part of this wonderful event, celebrating mile stone anniversaries of key buildings within the borough and of course our very own school (70th anniversary) too. The children will be contributing ideas, making costumes and decorations and even the opportunity of taking part in the parade itself!
