After a lovely Celebration of the Word for Remembrance Day this morning, Year 2 continued to think about the importance of this day and why we have a two minute silence and wear poppies. We wrote a beautiful class poem, sharing ideas and thinking of appropriate sentences, before the silence.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.
