For the first time ever, St Matthew’s took part in the first round of South Tyneside Netball Finals at Temple Park. With so much interest shown by the children, we entered 3 teams from Year 6 and each team displayed great skill, commitment and teamwork throughout the tournament. One of our teams finished top of their group and they faced the runners-up of the second group, which unfortunately was one of our other teams. Team A won 4-0 but it was lovely to see how much progress all of the children had made over the last 6 weeks. Well done Y6! Good Luck to the children, who will play in the Finals after half-term.
