This week Year 5 took part in International Women in Engineering Day.

They learnt about all the different engineering jobs there are, then they had to become engineers for the day.

They had to design, make, test and evaluate a solution to protect cargo dropped from a plane to supply aid during a natural disaster. Their design had to protect the cargo, so it remained undamaged during the drop.

They also had a budget, so had to keep a close eye on their costs.

They had great fun!
