We have been focusing on mental health throughout the school:
Year 4
Y4 have enjoyed wearing yellow for World mental health day! We looked at ways to help us and then created our own doodles! Great job Y4!
Reception wanted to show you how amazing they all looked in yellow for World Mental Health Day
Reception had the most amazing time listening to the story ‘Even Superheroes have bad days’. We made superhero masks and played a game of guess the feelings.
After reading the story The Colour Monster Reception were excited to share some of the things that make them happy, sad, angry and worried.
Year 2
Year 2 have been so busy for World Mental Health Day. They thought about some of the things which make them feel stressed and worried, and then things that make them feel better. The children tried hard to think about how to turn negative thoughts into positive thoughts, and all of the things that they love about themselves. They also went around the class and wrote positive comments about their friends. These were lovely for everyone to read and see how much they are loved!
Year 1
Year 1 have enjoyed learning about their mental health today. They have thought about some of the feelings they have, they listened to some positive affirmations and some children made up their own! They also had a song and a dance to make them feel good.
Year 6
Year 6 have been thinking about how to support others with their mental health. We spent part of the day in discussion with each other, about how important it is to spot others who are struggling and how we can be there for each other. Year 6 came up with some great ideas.
Year 5
Yesterday, for World Mental Health Day, Year 5 learned about what makes them happy and how we can support our mental health
