Look what Reception discovered in our classroom this week – a shiny, green box! We thought of lots of probing questions using key vocabulary – who, where and why? Keep watching for what was in the box! 
For our Talk for Writing Hook – Reception decided together the best way to investigate about the box was to look inside for clues – it was a little elf, a pine cone and a message asking for help! The children gave lots of excellent predictions about why the elf was asking for help and loved listening to the special story the elf brought to find out if their predictions were correct.
