Our choir began Advent, by attending the Jarrow cluster ‘Big Sing’, event at St Matthew’s Church. The children sang beautifully and it was lovely to join our fellow Jarrow schools to celebrate the start of our Advent journey.

Y5 have started a new topic in DT, where they are going to be challenged to make their own shields out of fabric. In their first lesson, they wrote up their design criteria and used this to plan an initial design template to help them develop their textile work.
