In Science this week, Year 2 started to think about animals and their offspring. We matched up the animals with their offspring and then grouped them into mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. The children used their knowledge from Year 1 wonderfully.

WOW! Y2 children have done some amazing sewing today. They showed fantastic resilience when sewing the three layers of their patchwork square. We are slowly seeing our amazing work come together!

Year 2 started their new English topic today, by looking around school for some traditional tales, and then completed their cold piece of writing, where they tried to write their own.

Year 2 were very lucky today to have some Y6 girls come to help us with our PE lesson today. We were trying to do forward rolls, and while some of us are finding this challenging, we tried our best, and Merryn, Emie and Georgia were so kind and encouraging.

Year 2 were making circuits again today in Science – this time adding switches. We love getting our bulbs to light up and our buzzers to buzz!
