Today we celebrated World Book Day in school. We started with an assembly in the hall, which was led by Professor Dumbledore, who was deputising for Mrs Alderson, who unfortunately couldn’t attend. Professor Dumbledore was so impressed with the brilliant costumes on show and shared with the children why he loves reading so much. He then allowed some of the children to try the sorting hat…

The children then took to the stage to show us their lovely costumes. We also spent part of the day doing some paired reading throughout school. We all had a great day!
