St Matthew’s have recently subscribed to this website and after staff took part in a training session last week, we can’t recommend to you enough the benefits of using this website at the moment. This week we are going to focus on having a Reading Plus Battle instead of a TTRS one. We would love to try and see the numbers of users for each class rise by the end of the week. So far Y3 are in the lead with Y5 completing the most lessons.
Reading plus is designed as an individual reading programme, where the benefits of using it for a short time each day are huge. Once your child has completed an assessment (very important they do this totally independently), the programme will provide them with 5 texts per week to read. The first aim is to improve speed of reading; the second to improve comprehension. Once they have completed their 5 tasks for the week, they will have access to other areas on the website.
We will focus on developing this with Key Stage 2 this week. To gain access you need to do the following:

Usernames are first names plus first initial of surname (e.g. HarryP).
The password is: qwerty (to be changed at your discretion).
