Dear Parents/Carers

Although the Government’s  Department for Education (DfE) have announced the launch of this voucher system for those eligible for Free School Meals (and the Press have reported this), the reality is very different!!

The vouchers will be distributed via a third party directly to schools. As soon as these vouchers are available school will make direct contact with those eligible families to distribute their allocation. As yet we have received no firm indication as to when this may happen but rest assured as soon as they are allocated we will get them out to families. Please don’t contact the school office or South Tyneside Council at this point and be assured that distribution will be made promptly once we have these vouchers.
