What an absolutely brilliant DT afternoon Y3 have had. Each design team have selected their own tools and materials, worked superbly well collaboratively, sharing tasks and following their design plans to a ‘T’ . Each group have shown competent uses of different attachment methods (flange, tab, hidden tab, L brace, slot and even a slider mechanism) to strengthen and enlarge the surface areas of the interactive play elements of their products to create free standing objects. Just take a look for yourself at how good their finished prototypes are via the advertising photo shoots and videos. Very well done children
