Year 2 were very shocked when they came in from play time, to find something strange going on in the classroom. There was a mouse hanging upside down, an owl in the corner, and footprints and black slime all over the floor and tables. We needed to investigate further!

We went outside to find more footprints and some brown fur. There was also a snake! The children thought that a Gruffalo may have visited our school!

When we went back to class, we read the book to see if we were right. Year 2 had fun coming up with actions for the story and talking about the different characters in the book.
