Dear Parent/Carer,
Here are some ideas for possible learning today. It is just a guide – no child will miss out on any learning if they do not attempt any of it.
Maths:
- I have set up a tournament to be completed on TT Rockstars.
- I have also set multiplication and division tasks to be completed on Mathletics.
- Our next lesson is dividing a 4-digit number by a 1-digit number so I have attached this to be completed below. It is the same as we did last lesson, just with more digits so remember to use the bus stop method.
- Year 5 maths work
English:
- We will be moving onto discussion writing, here is a video to watch https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/english-ks1-ks2-how-to-write-a-discussion-text/zfhqxyc.
- For your main task, I would like you to choose a topic from the list below and write a list of reasons for and against the topic.
- Topics to choose from:
- Should Children have to wear school uniform?
- Should children have to do tests?
- Should children be allowed to have longer weekends?
Spelling:
- Children have their spellings in their spelling homework books that they need to write sentences including each of the words.
Reading:
- Children should be reading and writing a review in their yellow reading journal.
Thanks,
Miss Jackson
