Dear parents/carers,
Next week is Safer Internet Day on Tuesday February 7th. This excellent E-safety day has been running for 20 years! This year’s theme is ‘Making space for conversations about life online’. During the week the children will be learning about how to stay safe online and how to have conversations about things online that worry them. We would also like to invite all Junior parents/carers (Years 3 – 6 ) to attend an Online Safety Information Session and also a Pupil Led Assembly next Tuesday 7 February at 1.30pm. The session will be led by Clennell Education Solutions. Staff have attended similar training and found the session incredibly useful and informative. We would urge you to take some time to attend this session if at all possible.
Please find below a link to a guide for parents for those unable to attend, which can be used at home to have those all important conversations about how to protect our children when they go online. Further information about Safer Internet Day can be found on their website https://saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day/safer-internet-day-2023
